Flos Salis (from the ancient Roman language, meaning: Flower of Salt,
Fleur de Sel),"The Champagne of Sea Salt" (tm),
is a very special gourmet sea salt.
Marisol Flos Salis is a
superb gourmet finishing salt with a subtler, milder taste, and a very subtle pleasant aroma reminscent of the sea, compared
to the sharper tasting gourmet fleur de sel sea salt, Flor de Sal.
The finest and most delicate small,
slightly crunchy, fine moist snowflake-like crystals of off-white unrefined Flos
Salis (aka Flower of
Salt,
Fleur de Sel) Sea Salt are
traditionally harvested by skimming the surface of
the sea water of the salt marshes. From Rio Formosa
Nature Reserve, Algarve, Portugal.
Certified by "Certiplanet" (European
Mark of Exceptional Quality and Purity) to be 100% natural (no
additives), harvested and processed by organic artisanal methods,
unrefined, and free of pesticides, herbicides and chemicals. Kosher
certified by
Natural Food Certifiers.
Packaged in a *re-usable ceramic crock to preserve the delicate structure of the
crystals (*the crocks make great little canisters for spices etc in the kitchen or you can refill them with Flor de Sal.).
